I have been down for the count since Thursday night. I slept most of Friday. Woke up this morning and my throat is still on fire. I've had a hard time eating or drinking. A quick way to lose a few pounds, but not highly recommended.
Decided to go get a strep test since my throat is so sore and the fever hasn't stopped. No shock that it was positive. Doctor said I win the largest lymph node award for the season...said they were so swollen he thought it might be mono. I'll take strep over mono! Then he joked that I should not let fire crackers off in my throat...that's how red my throat is.
So, antibiotics it is for me. I am hoping to start feeling better soon. I've slept a good portion of today too. I finally ate something tonight...was so hungry the pain didn't matter.
So, hopefully I'll mend and get back to "normal". Just another bump in the road. Prayers and thoughts and hopes that my children don't get strep!
I am a mom of 3 who decided she needed to get healthy. I started a journey to get healthy and running became part of the journey.

For those of us who sometimes feel too slow to call ourselves runners...the definition of running from Wikipedia: Running is a means for an animal to move on foot. It is defined in sporting terms as a gait in which at some point all feet are off the ground at the same time. This is in contrast to walking, where one foot is always in contact with the ground, the legs are kept mostly straight and the center of gravity rides along fairly smoothly on top of the legs. The term running can refer to any of a variety of speeds ranging from jogging to sprinting.
